Kuterevo makes sense as part of a landscape. Towards Krasno, the story turns to Velebit: forest, mountain weather and the natural world interpreted at the House of Velebit visitor centre. Towards Otočac, the Gacka Valley opens into water and a gentler horizon.

Choose a direction rather than collecting stops. Pair the village with Krasno and the visitor centre for a mountain-focused day, or continue into the Gacka Valley and the springs around Sinac for a different pace. The discovery map helps you see the relationship between places.

Zavižan and the wider Northern Velebit National Park require their own planning. Mountain access, conditions and facilities vary with weather and season. Check the park's current information and choose routes suited to your equipment and experience.

The Adriatic is another chapter: Senj, Jablanac and Zavratnica belong in a considered coastal extension. Plitvice Lakes is a separate park day, with its own entry arrangements. None of these places needs to be rushed into the same afternoon.
